Sleep More, Weigh Less - True or False?

Do you suffer from sleep deprivation?
If your goal is to lose weight and you're doing all the right things... eating good, exercising, and everything else... you may want to take a look at how you sleep as the key factor as to why you aren't losing weight.
A lot of things factor into gaining and losing weight. It goes beyond simply counting calories, eating good foods, and exercising.
So if you're having a hard time getting rid of those extra inches... read on to learn about the "sleep factor".
A recent sleep study in Greece using 30 women has found that the more you sleep, the less bodyfat you have. Now, the surprising thing was this... the increase in bodyfat for the women who didn't sleep as much wasn't due to eating more calories.
The researchers were unable to figure out why the women who slept more were less fat. That's just how it is. So if you're looking to lose weight, you should look into sleeping more.
Here are 3 things you can do to increase the amount and or the quality of your sleep.
First, wear a sleep mask.
Even with your eyes closed, your eyes still can see light. Since humans are programmed to sleep during the dark and be awake when it's light out, the eyes will assume it's time to wake up... generally speaking. The sleep mask solves that problem.
Second, wear ear plugs.
This helps block out the white noises that wake people up in the middle of the night as well as preventing them from falling asleep right away.
Third, wear socks to bed.
Your feet don't get good blood circulation compared to the rest of your body. So your feet will almost always be a little colder than the rest of your body.
Well, the problem is, cold feet tend to make you wake up at night (whether you realize that or not). So the simple solution to that is to wear socks to retain your body heat and improve the quality of your sleep.
So if your goal is to weigh less, then you need to seriously look into sleeping a little bit more. Sleep deprivation won't help you to lose weight. It does the exact opposite.
